Privacy Policy for WordShuffle

This privacy policy governs the manner in which WordShuffle ("the App") collects, uses, maintains, and discloses information collected from users ("you"). Please read it carefully.

Information We Collect
WordShuffle does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, or location. All game progress, scores, settings, and streak data are stored exclusively on your device using Apple's on-device storage (SwiftData and UserDefaults). This data never leaves your device unless you use iCloud Backup, which is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.

Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version of WordShuffle displays banner and rewarded ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve contextually relevant ads. On iOS 14.5 and later, you will be asked for permission before any advertising identifier is used for personalised ads. If you decline, non-personalised ads are shown instead. You can remove all ads permanently with a one-time in-app purchase.

In-App Purchases
Purchases (Remove Ads, hint packs, reshuffle packs) are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. WordShuffle never sees or stores your payment information. Apple's privacy policy governs all purchase transactions.

Game Center
If you sign in to Apple Game Center, WordShuffle submits your scores to Game Center leaderboards and reports achievement progress. This is handled entirely by Apple's GameKit framework under Apple's privacy policy. WordShuffle does not store or have access to your Game Center profile beyond what GameKit exposes locally on your device.

Local Notifications
WordShuffle may send local notifications to remind you about the daily challenge and your streak. These notifications are generated entirely on your device; no data is sent to any server to produce them. You can disable notifications at any time in iOS Settings.

Third-Party Services Summary
The only third-party service integrated in WordShuffle is Google AdMob (advertising). Apple's own frameworks — StoreKit (purchases), GameKit (Game Center), and UserNotifications (local notifications) — are used for core functionality and are governed by Apple's privacy policy.

Children's Privacy
WordShuffle does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Advertising shown to users under 13 is non-personalised by default, in compliance with COPPA and Google AdMob's policies.

Changes to This Privacy Policy
This policy may be updated from time to time. We recommend reviewing it periodically. Continued use of WordShuffle constitutes acceptance of the most recent version of this policy.
